WHAT OUR TROOPS HAVE TO SAY
 _________________________________________________________

Here are a few notes from troops who received our 2008 Holiday cards.  Each and every person who participated in any way truly made a very real difference to many people -- thank you!

Operation Love From Home,

Thank you for the cards you sent to us.  I go out to the troops before they go on mission and pray with them.  It is always great to get things from home so that while I am out talking with them I can give them something to remind them why they fight.  They are always happy to get the cards.  You make a difference in there livesIt can be hard to keep perspective and you help them by showing that you care.  When I am out talking to them I also take things out to them.  What ever I get in packages I give out to them.  It is great to be able to pass along things from home.  They like things that they can take with them to eat on the mission.  Anything can help, thank you again for your generosity.

My name is [WITHHELD]. I am a Christian soldier that is blessed enough to have CPT [NAME WITHHELD] as our Chaplain. Thank you for all your support and prayers. We received your cards and very inspiring words of encouragement. I read only a few but they touched my heart. We truly appreciate your kindness and the kindness of others that have joined together with you to support us while we are away from our families. It means the world to me what you are doing. As we are away from our families it is so comforting to know that we are being thought of and prayed for by our brothers and sisters in Christ. You are a true blessing. I pray that you and your families had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy NewYear. May God bless you and yours and keep you safe.

The following are a collection of notes we've gotten throughout the years

"It's always great to get mail from friends - it's like getting an extra scoop of ice cream."
Sgt. P.D. - Iraq

"Once again, thank you for your kind words. Your support helped make some of the most difficult days of my life even easier."
Cpl. C.M. - Iraq

"I cannot begin to tell you the positive effect your kindness has on soldiers. Especially, as this war becomes more and more unpopular, soldiers are caught in the middle. The effect of your packages and the constant support was just what we needed to get through the season."
Chaplain C.B. - Iraq

"If it were not for you and the other supporters, I just don't know what kind of frame of mind we would be in. You have most definitely pulled us through this mess over here and for the continued love and support, I thank you from the heart, and I will forever be indebted."
PFC R.L. - Iraq

"On behalf of the 3rd Medical Command, I would like to thank you for your gifts and thoughts. It's good for the troops to know that the folks back home support them. It's Americans like yourself that keep the soldiers here motivated and in good spirits."
PFC C.R. - 3rd Medcom

"I know I've said that a million times, but thank your for the support. You have made my year, especially my stay in Iraq, very worthy."
Cpl. A.M. - Iraq

"After a long day of survival and fighting...there is nothing like a soldier opening a package or reading a letter."
SSGT. P.B. - Iraq
